About Annabel Guaita

About Annabel Guaita:

Her playing is wonderfully analytic. For the listener it is so easy to follow the texture and the structure of the work presented. In her concert she played a piece by Fartein Valen. I did not know the piece beforehand, so I had asked to have the score. I would not have needed it; Annabel explained the work so well in her performance. This is a rare ability. And in Annabel Balean Guaita's case this ability comes combined with sincere musicianship, refined pianism and a beautiful sound quality.

Her program choice of Valen Variations, Webern Variations, Ravel Sonatina and Berg Sonata in the first half of the concert, show a very interesting artistic personality. I hope she will in the future have many
opportunities to perform this music that she feels close to. She deserves it indeed.

In addition to her high level solo performances she also showed a wonderful command of chamber musician qualities. As a performer she is very convincing on stage without loosing the touching sincerity of her approach to music.
